Wild Alabama is thrilled to offer Calhoun Community College students a meaningful chance to make a real impact through environmental stewardship in the Sipsey Wilderness. This is more than just an opportunity to earn a stipend—it's about taking an active role in preserving one of Alabama’s most precious natural resources. As part of this initiative, participants will receive a $100 stipend for four hours of work, with transportation and lunch provided.
This is your chance to choose from critical conservation tasks such as invasive plant removal, water quality testing, trail maintenance, campsite rehabilitation, and litter cleanup. Each activity is vital to maintaining the health and beauty of the Sipsey Wilderness, ensuring its enjoyment for future generations while fostering biodiversity and protecting the ecosystem.
Available dates include October 11, 25; November 15, 29; and December 13, 20. If you’re ready to take action for the environment and make a difference, fill out the Google form, and a representative from Wild Alabama will reach out to you with more details.
