Wild Alabama COVID Policy: In effect starting 2/3/2022 Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Wild Alabama has created the following policies and procedures for public programming. These protective measures are subject to change in accordance with up-to-date CDC guidelines and are for the welfare of our staff, volunteers, and participants. Wild Alabama will also follow any policies set by host venues, parks, and sites when we are facilitating a program at other locations. We strongly encourage everyone who can to be fully vaccinated and boosted and are continuing to practice social distancing at Wild Alabama programs. In situations and activities where groups cannot practice social distancing, masks are required, regardless of vaccination status. Please bring a mask and have it on hand for all Wild Alabama programs and volunteer opportunities. If you do not have one, WA staff will provide you with a mask. Masks are not required while hiking or doing physical labor, but please have it on hand where social distancing cannot be maintained or for any indoor programming. For the health and safety of others, do not attend a Wild Alabama program or volunteer opportunity if:
You have been diagnosed with COVID within the past two weeks regardless of whether you are showing symptoms or asymptomatic.
You are experiencing COVID-like symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, body aches/chills, recent loss of taste or smell.
You had close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
You are self-isolating or self-quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19.
Enjoy. Value. Protect. Wild Alabama's mission is to inspire people to enjoy, value, and protect the wild places of Alabama.
