Brittany grew up in south Alabama, exploring the marshes and swimming in the bays. It was not until later in life that she discovered Alabama’s beautiful mountain range. Over the last several years, she has led multiple crews across the state in trail building and maintenance. In the fall of 2020, Brittany hiked the Pinhoti, collecting data on the conditions of the trail within Talladega National Forest. After seeing the beauty of the Pinhoti Trail firsthand, she knew that she had to get back on the trail and help preserve it for future visitors. In 2021, Brittany joined Wild Alabama as the stewardship coordinator for the Talladega National Forest area.
